Another travel day. This time back to Paris. The original plans of heading north to Belgium after Jersey were shelved when we got tickets to the Rugby. Now we’ve decided to spend the last few days back in Paris before returning to the UK on Friday.

We wandered into the city centre for breakfast and took the tram up the centre of town for no other reason than to see where it went before checking out.
We caught the fast train all the way from Saint Etienne to Paris. No changes, first class all the way. True to form, the 12:12 lurched away from the platform at 12:12:02pm.

Then a few stops on the Metro and we were at our new apartment. This one has a lift, which is just as well as we’re on the fourth floor, and a washing machine. We were down to the last of a few things and some washing was sorely needed.

We’re back in Montmartre, but this time next door to Moulin Rouge – literally. We could probably hear the whole show if we left the window open.
We wandered up the hill and had dinner at our favourite cafe, feeling like locals. Favourite in that we have probably been there four times thus far.
And that rounds out Tuesday.
