Breakfast at a cafe in the Lanes (a maze of little alleys), then I managed to find time to slip out to a favourite shop of mine while Michelle and Emily talked about wedding stuff.
England is a good place to find antiques and the like. Fortunately for all concerned I’m seriously constrained by space in my suitcase.
Then off to Tottington Manor (https://tottingtonmanor.co.uk) outside Brighton for a Sunday roast.
This is the wedding venue selected by Emily and Chris for July next year and they were keen for us to see it.
It’s very nice, built in Tudor times, redecorated once or twice since. They’ve booked the whole venue, including the 12 bedrooms for the weekend.
Just about everything is booked (photographer, DJ, catering, etc.) and deposits paid. They’ve been very efficient. They only got engaged a month ago.
Lunch and the venue tour lasted until 4pm, and that was the day for us.
More Rugby watching to finish the day. Off to France tomorrow. Au revoir.
