Not enough happening for two posts, so you’ll have to make do with one.
I got an early start to Sunday, waking up at 3am and not being able to get back to sleep. I decided that, since I was up, I might as well watch Sunshine Coast Lightning play in the netball semifinal at 5am English time. Turns out that Kayo won’t load that content, you need to be in Australia, so it was tea and toast instead and no netball.
We didn’t really go anywhere or do anything on Sunday, and owing to my early start, as soon as I sat down anywhere I’d drop off to sleep. Very age appropriate of me. We did go up to Emily’s place and annoy her and Chris for a while but that’s about as adventurous as we got. Not a single photo.
Monday morning kicked off with breakfast at the Laughing Dog cafe, with Emily, Chris, Ant and Jaquie. Then we went out to the village of Bramber and looked around the old Bramber Castle ruins. This place was established in 1073, but it’s gone back a bit since then.

The day was supposed to be nice, and sunny. It was neither. So when we thought we’d seen enough, and were wet enough, we went home. For soup. It was a soup sort of day.

It was also a packing sort of day, as tomorrow we head for the airport and the whole adventure winds down. Our ongoing love affair with Brighton will undoubtedly come to an end as well, as with Emily and Chris moving to Australia in September we’re not sure why we would come here in future. We’ll see.
Farewell dinner with Emily and Chris at the El Sombrero Mexican restaurant, then home to contemplate the morrow.
See you in Oz, Stephen and Michelle.
