Team Profile

Stephen
Stephen was working at Unitywater up until 16 November this year. His role was made redundant and he is now scouring the Positions Vacant section of the newspapers looking for the next challenge. Hopefuly something around Maroochydore, but anywhere will do really.

In the event that nothing shows up for a few months Stephen is working on doing some contract technical writing and has started down the road of setting up a business.

In the meantime he should be free to clean up the garage a bit and complete a few half-finished projects. He should also have time to get the newsletter complete and out well before Christmas.

Stephen has had a fairly solid year in the garage come workshop, turning out a multitude of useless stuff. The laser cutter/engraver has really worked overtime. Check out the gallery. The speciality has been pencil holders, with a variety of building themes. He has finally got his min CNC mill up and running, so even more sawdust is expected.
Michelle
It has been a year of change for Michelle. She finished up with Careflight in January (too little to do) and with Doctors on Buderim in February (too shonky). She is now working for a group called Feros Aged Care, visiting elderly clients in their home and organising various assistance services. No office, just a laptop and a mobile phone. No office politics here.

Michelle has joined Fernwood with all her old boot camp buddies and heads off at 5:30am every morning to work up a sweat. She is mad keen to get a stand-up paddleboard, so we will see what Christmas brings.
Hannah
Hannah is still working on her first novel, apparently its something in the Dungeons and Dragons adventure genre. She thoroughly enjoyed a presentation by a local author at the Kawana Library in October and is now fired up to carry on her writing. Look for it in about 2026.

Hannah scored an iPad for her birthday this year. She has mastered that and between her laptop, iPad and XBox, the day revolves around screen time.

Apart from her regular outings to the chiropractor and massage therapy, Hannah doesn't get out too much. We are working on that, but don't expect big results anytime soon.

Emily
Emily turned 21 in March and has just finished her Arts/Education Degree at Latrobe, finishing up with a graduation ball and officially receiving her Bachelor's Degree on 14 December. Check out the graduation photos.

She recently spent a week in London being interviewed for teaching jobs in top schools. As a result she is off to the UK to commence a one-year teaching contract at Brighton Aldridge Community Academy, as a year 7-9 History and Geography teacher. She starts on 3 January and flies out on boxing day. Go Emmy!

Emily picked up casual work at a Skechers shoe store at a DFO in Melbourne in March and has become close to their number one salesperson. She enjoys retail much better than she enjoyed hospitality.

Amelia
Our youngest progeny and greatest prodigy turned 19 on 3 December this year. She has completed year one of her Bachelor of Arts and Communication at Queensland University. To celebrate her and a few girlfriends headed off to the Gold Coast for a week long getaway, right at the same time as Schoolies.

She is still working at the Cheesecake Shop in Maroochydore on weekends to pick up a bit of spending money. This was also great for Stephen, who provided a cheesecake whenever there was a work function on.
Other Hangers On
Not much to be said. Marmalade is still useless and sheds fur like its going out of style. We have tried vaccuming him, but he is scared stiff of the vacuum and heads for the hills whenever it starts.

We are reduced to 2 guinea pigs with the demise of Rusty earlier in the year and Gretel shortly before Christmas. Blinky is still going strong and has been joined by a new friend, Charlie.
