2010 - The beginning of the teenage years
Amelia officially became the tallest girl in the house! The others were not pleased.
Amelia took up volleyball on Wednesday nights. Amelia's team continued to improve throughout the year and made the grand final in November, only to lose in straight sets. Amelia's team came second in the under-14 section of the Daylesford tournament and second in the Western Region Schools' comp, which she was pretty chuffed about.
Netball wasn't so kind. Amelia was a bit disappointed not to make the main under-13 team and languished in the 'moddies' during the year.
Amelia came second in the regional German poetry competition, which meant an invitation to Melbourne to compete in the State finals. She was also selected to attend the Alpine School in 2011. The Alpine School campus is at Orbost, 600kms from home.
